Mangalore, Dec 8: Construction Workers’ Federation of India submitted an appeal to the Central government earlier this year, requesting immediate fulfillment of their list of demands. In addition to many other demands, they also demanded life insurance for all construction workers as well as immediate release of immigrant workers imprisoned in various countries. The federation also urged the central and state government to sanction additional funds for their welfare.
