Widow of dead Kaiga worker demands CBI investigation

Mangalore Today News Network

Sirsi, Dec 8: Ashwini G Mule (26), the wife of late Kaiga worker Ravikumar Mule who was found dead in the premises of Kaiga nearly 8 months ago on April 7, 2009, demands a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation of her husband’s death.

She said that the police still haven’t gotten any close to solving the mystery of her husband’s untimely death. She also believes the killing to be an insider affair since nobody can enter the nuclear plant, which is a top security zone. She further stated that if an outsider can get inside the premises of Kaiga, kill one of its employees, and escape unseen, something is seriously wrong with the security at Kaiga, and this could in turn endanger the security of the nation.

Ashwini said that her husband Ravikumar left home on April 7 at half past seven in the morning. She received a message about 4 hours later that he was found dead near Kaiga’s Saraswathi Multi Complex. Marks of injuries were present on the body and blood was oozing out of the left ear.

The police registered a case of unnatural death. But so far, no investigation has been done on the matter.
