Kasargod, Dec 7: Kasargod witnessed many incidents of stone pelting and arson on Dec 6, Sunday, the 17th anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition. Normal life was disrupted when government buses ceased to ply and commercial establishments shut down.

Some miscreants pelted stones on vehicles in Kizhoor and Uppala last night. A small shop in Kalnad was also attacked. A motor cycle parked near the house of Jose D’Cruz, the Kasargod Medical Officer, was burned. A case has been registered at the police station and the police are now investigating this case.

The Popular Front of India (PFI), a Muslim organization, staged a protest at Palayam in Kozhikode in memory of this day.

During the past few years, miscreants are observing the anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid by disrupting the normal routine of citizens.
