Vishwamangala Gou Grama Yatra concludes

Mangalore, Nov 25: “The rathayatra, which will be organized to mark the conclusion of the Vishwa Mangala Gou Grama Yatra, will end with a mass worship of cows on the Urwa Market grounds on Nov 27, Friday at 4 p.m.,” said M B Puranik, the division chief of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Mangalore, at a press conference organized at the Press Club on Nov 25, Wednesday.

Puranik said that the Vishwamangala Gou Grama Yatra, which was held for 108 days, will soon conclude in the presence of Shri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Gurupur Vajradehi Mutt and Shri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt. N Vinay Hegde, the chancellor of NITTE University, will preside over the function. 

The chief guests will be V Ponnuraj, the deputy commissioner; Prof K M Kaveriappa, vice chancellor of Mangalore University; B Raghunath Somayaji and Rohan Monteiro, the entrepreneurs; K C Nayak, the managing trustee of Shaktinagar Gopalkrishna Temple; and Ajit Kumar Rai Malady, the honorary president of Vishwa Mangala Gou Grama Yatra, Mangalore. 

Ravishankar Mijar, Guruprasad, and S Ramesh were also present at the press conference.
