AJ Group to observe ‘Diabetes Awareness Programme

Mangalore, Nov 12: AJ Hospital & Reasearch Centre and AJ Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore will organize ‘Diabetes Awareness Programme’ at Conference Hall,  second floor, AJ Hospital, Kuntikan on Saturday November 14 at 9.30 am.

Earlier the children used to suffer from only ‘type one’ Diabetes, but as the year passed the food habit of people changed according to the life style, causing ‘type two’ diabetes also in them, said Dr Ganesh H K, speaking at the press meet.

On behalf of the programme, Dr Ganesh H K, Consultant Endocrinologist will present the awareness talk on ‘AJ Management of Diabetes and Prevention of Complications’, whereas Sumana Aithal, Dietician, AJ Hospital will deliver talk on ‘Dietary Management’ and Dr Sudheer Hegde, consultant Ophthalmologist, AJ Institute of Medical Sciences will speak on ‘Eye Prevention and its prevention in Diabetics’, said Dr Prashanth Marla, Medical Director.

Apart from it, Random Blood sugar and Kidney function test will be done free of cost to all the participants.
