bannanje Khaleej Times, an English UAE daily, has reported that Dubai police have once again arrested Rajendra Kumar alias Bannanje Raja. The arrested, who is prime accused in more than 30 cases of extortion and murder and one of the 6 most wanted criminals in Karnataka, will be deported to India by Nov 18.

Director of Wanted Section at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, Dubai, Major Salem Al Ramaithi said that Bannanje Raja had travelled to UAE with a fake passport on grounds of which he was first arrested on October 11. But an India businessman based in the UK had bailed him out.

Once again, the Dubai Police arrested him because he was identified as the most wanted criminal of Karnataka. As soon as he was arrested for the second time, an Indian delegation arrived and identified him as the most wanted criminal and the extradition process was started immediately.

There is an Interpol alert against Raja, who had gone into hiding about 11 years ago and was operating from the Gulf countries. He was nabbed when he was trying to escape to Malaysia on Oct 11. The date of his second arrest has not been revealed.
