Roads Blocked to Facilitate Construction

Deputy Commissioner V. Ponnuraj has banned the movement of traffic in the Old Port area on Thursday because the roads in the area are going to be concretized. 

Instead of moving from Badriya Junction to the harbor, the vehicles must use the Bamboo Bazaar Road and reach the port via the first, second, the third cross roads. Instead of moving to the city form the port, vehicles will take a right turn at the fourth cross of Bamboo Bazaar Road and then take the Rozario Road. 

On Thursday, Bamboo Bazaar Road and its fourth cross will be temporarily transformed into a one-way road. The DC’s press release bans the parking of vehicles along Bamboo Bazaar Road on Thursday.
