Man held on the charge of sexually assaulting minor

Mangaluru, Feb 08, 2020:   The Vitla police arrested Suresh Prabhu, 31, of Kanyana village for allegedly sexually assaulting a class 9 student on February 1. According to the police, the boy was returning home around noon from his school. As he was passing by a college, Prabhu called the boy under the pretext of talking to him. Prabhu took the boy to the washroom of the school and sexually assaulted him.

Following a complaint by the boy’s mother on February 4, the Vitla police arrested Prabhu on February 5. He was accused of offence under Section 4 of POCSO.
