‘Ksha-Kirana-5’ convention to be held December 5 in city

Mangaluru, Dec 04, 2019:   Karnataka State Aided Primary School Teachers’ Association, Bengaluru, will organise a state-level convention ‘Ksha-Kirana-5’ at Town Hall, Mangaluru, from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm on December 5, Thursday.

Addressing media in Mangaluru onDecember 3,  Tuesday, Karnataka State Aided Primary School Teachers’ Association president K M K Manjanadi said that the convention will be inaugurated by Minister for Muzrai, Fisheries and Inland Transport and District In-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary. Primary and Seconday Education Minister Suresh Kumar will be the chief guest, he added.

Manjanadi said that the Kannada medium schools are on the verge of closure. The objective of the convention is to bring the related issues to the notice of the government.

A workshop on the problems faced by aided Kannada medium schools will be conducted by Badriya College former principal Dr N Ismail, he added.

Karnataka State Aided Primary School Teachers’ Association secretary Alwyn Lancy Rodrigues, treasurer Subraya Karanth, convener M H Malar and organising secretary Hameed were present in the press meet.
