Onam special trains to cater to festival rush

Mangaluru, Sep 06 2019: In a public-friendly move to clear extra rush of passengers during Onam festival, special trains will be operated between Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru Junction.

The service of Train no 06095 Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Junction Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 6.05 pm on September 9 and reach Mangaluru Junction at 07.30 am the next day.

Train no 82641 Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Junction Suvidha Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 6.05 pm on September 11 and reach Mangaluru Junction at 07.30 am the next day.

In the return direction, Train no 06096 Mangaluru Junction-Thiruvananthapuram Special will leave Mangaluru Junction at 12.15 pm on September 10 and 12 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 03.05 am the next day.

The train comprises AC 2-tier coach – 1, AC 3-tier coaches – 5, sleeper class coaches – 12, general second class coaches – 2 and luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

The trains will stop at Kollam, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Chenganacheri, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur Junction, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.
