Super speciality wing and upgrade for Wenlock immediately

Mangaluru,Aug 27,2019: Addressing officials at a meeting of the Arogya Raksha Samithi and working committee of the Wenlock Hospital at his office hall on August 26, Monday,  DK DC Sasikanth Senthil S has directed the officials to take up repair works at the District Wenlock Hospital and submit a report within a week.

He said the damages in the hospital building due to heavy rains should be repaired immediately. The repair work should not cause any inconvenience to the patients, he stressed.

“The work on the 300-bed super specialty hospital building is in progress and will be completed within a month. The super specialty hospital will have additional 24-bed ICU. The super specialty hospital will require additional 100 nurses, 100 D Group staff, three ICU specialists, four ICU technicians, and four lab technicians. A proposal has been submitted to the government seeking approval for filling up vacant posts,” stated the deputy commissioner.

DC Senthil also directed the officials to ensure that health care facilities are available to the common man under the Ayushman Bharath and the Arogya Karnataka schemes.

District Wenlock Hospital Superintendent Dr Rajeshwari Devi H R, District Health Officer Dr Ramakrishna Rao and others were present at the meeting.
