Open well at Chitrapu, near Mulki, has hot water

Mangaluru, Aug 12, 2019: An open well in a house at Chitrapu near Mulki has flowing hot water. A large number of people are visiting the house to view the  phenomenon.

The well belongs to Rathnakar.  Speaking to media  Ratnakar said, “When I drew water from the well, it was hot. I drew the water again to verify it.”

Officials from mines and geology department visited the spot and collected water samples for testing.

Geologist Dr Ravi said,”Some item with Sulfur content would have fallen into the well.  The exact cause would be known after the test of water samples.”
