Service bus fares rise in DK and Udupi

Mangalore, March 31: Canara Bus Owners’ Association has issued a press release stating that the service bus fares in DK and Udupi will be raised slightly from April 1. 

According to the release, the Road Transport Authority of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi granted permission for the fare hike on October 15, 2008. The RTA had approved the rates last time the bus owners had approached it for a rise in bus fares .

The bus fare from Mangalore - Udupi will go up to Rs 38 from Rs 36; and the bus fare from Udupi - Kundapur will go up to Rs 27 from Rs 25.
