220 election pamphlets seized by flying squad

Mangaluru, Mar 18, 2019: According to the DCP (Law and Order) Hanumantharaya,  election flying squad officials arrested two people and seized BJP pamphlets, at Nanthoor check post.  The arrested are Ashwin (25) and Arun Kumar (26), both belonging to Manjeshwara in Kasargod.

The duo was allegedly transporting 220 pamphlets in a car. The pamphlets of BJP did not bear the name and address of the printer or the number of copies printed. A case was registered under Section 127 (A) of the Representation of the People Act.

Liquor seized  :  Dharmasthala police arrested two people on the charges of transporting 8.640 litres

of liquor in an autorickshaw at Thotathadi in Belthangady taluk.  According to SP B M Lakshmi Prasad, the arrested are Lokesh and Thimmappa of Neriya.

There were totally 48 liquor bottles being transported. A case was registered under Section 32 and 34 of the Karnataka Excise Act.
