Wild jumbo seen on Shiradi Ghat Highway

Mangaluru, March 10, 2019: On the Shiradi Ghat crossing the National Highway 75 on March 9,  Saturday a wild jumbo elephant was seen. A Forest Department official stated that it was seen crossing the national highway at about 3 p.m. The tusker did not damage any vehicles operating on the national highway or property.

The elephant it is reported is not known to have caused any damage to any farm land near Gundia. According to Forest guards, it must have gone inside the forests using the Kempu Hole.
