Veterinary hospital gets new building at Kotekar

Nov 20, 2017: Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Minister U.T. Khader inaugurated the new building of the veterinary hospital in Kotekar on Nov 18, Saturday.

The veterinary dispensary in Kotekar was upgraded as hospital in 2012.

It was in 2014-15 that Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited was asked to build a new building adjoining the old building at a cost of Rs. 27.9 lakh.

The new building now provides space for the offices of the Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) and Veterinary Officer (VO). Nagaraj, who was the Veterinary Officer at the hospital, will discharge duty as the Chief Veterinary Officer.

The hospital has a livestock officer and two Group-D personnel.

Yatri Nivas   :  Earlier, Minister Khader inaugurated the Yatri Nivas constructed on the premises of Mudipu Church at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh.  The Yatri Nivas was also constructed by KRIDL.
