Mangalore, Jan 2: BJP MP Varun Gandhi will participate in the Hindu Yuva Samavesha, which will be organized on Jan 24 on Nehru Maidan as part of the silver jubilee celebrations of Bajarang Dal.
Bharath Shetty, the president of the convention organizing committee, and Krishnamurthy, the general secretary, informed journalists that Varun Gandhi was willing to participate in the convention.
M B Puranik, the leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and honorary advisor of the committee, said that the purpose of the convention was to organize the youth and to create awareness within them on certain issues.
During the past year, a wide range of activities were organized as instructed by the national committee. Bajarang Dal accepted 7,000 young people as members by organizing a membership drive. Currently, the organization has 70 units within Mangalore City and more than 15,000 members. The convention is to serve as the valedictory programme of all these activities.
