Mangalore, Dec 11: The Directorate of Collegiate Education has declared a 2-day holiday, on Thursday and Friday, for all colleges in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts so that the college students can attend the Vishwa Tulu Sammelan in Ujire. 

Eranna, the joint director, said that most DK colleges had declared vacations. The colleges that were functioning were asked to declare holiday so that students can attend the Convention. 

Since he said that the authorities concerned at the University have to take a decision regarding the examinations, Prof K M Kaveriappa, the vice chancellor of Mangalore University, said that no changes will be made to the examination schedule.
