Tulu Parbha organized in Mangalore

Mangalore, Jan 20: Harikrishna Punaroor inaugurated the Tulu Parbha organized by the union of literature enthusiasts in Mangalore. He said that efforts should be made to include Tulu in the 8th schedule of the Indian Constitution. 

Jagannath Alva, the poet presided over the programme. Bhaskar Pai Kukkuvalli, the member of the Tulu Literature Academy; Muddu Moodubelle; and K T Alva recited their poems. 

Dr. Tara U Rao released "Bhaktigeethe," a collection of devotional songs by Vani Gokale. 

Ramachandra Bykampady, the president of the Karnataka Fisheries Development Board, was the chief guest. 

A poets’ meet was organized as part of the Tulu Parbha. Kudreppady Jagannath Alva, the poet, presided over it.
