Mangaluru, Feb 27, 2018: Thousands of enthusiasts, past and present students and staffers of MAHE,  gathered at End Point here to enjoy the afternoon at the sixth edition of Tarang, the kite flying festival organised by Volunteer Services Organization (VSO) on Feb 25, Sunday.

The event was part of the silver jubilee celebrations of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).

The Udupi Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi had his share of fun hoisting a kite and participating in other activities as well.

Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, was the guest of honour. This year Tarang held a unique feature that the kites made by VSO volunteers were flown by the underprivileged children of slums and special homes.

A carnival-like atmosphere prevailed at the ground with games, music, food stalls and zumba present to cater to a variety of entertainment to make for a memorable afternoon.
