Udupi, Aug 26, 2014 : A youth drowned after he was separated from the rubber tube while swimming here at Devarakere pond in Kadekar.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Sunil (20), a B.Com student at Tenkanidiyur Government college. He along with four of his friends were practicing swimming with the help of a rubber tube.

He accidentally got separated from the rubber tube and drowned. His friends who were in the pond were also helpless as they were not swimmers. The body was recovered. A case has been registered.
