Mangaluru: Students are attending the night classes being conducted at 10 schools of the taluk. The Sri Gopalakrishna High School of Bilinele village has decided to extend benefit of night classes to the girl students of school as well and the classes would begin from March 28.   The night class programme which was started for slow learning SSLC students as part of Mission 95 Plus in Puttur taluk has received good response from students and parents.  The school holds night classes for decades now when the school was at Subrahmanya Mutt.

Night classes with the cooperation of parents has progressed. Class rooms in the school are not a problem to conduct classes both for boys and girls. A meal is also served for the students, a cook has been appointed.  Parents of the students provide rice and coconut and other expenses are borne by the school. In this underdeveloped area, poor students face many challenges to study in their home. Night classes always are a boon last year  94.5 per cent pass was achieved.  Local people feel that this is a great support for the backward area.
