Mangaluru, Aug 16, 2017: Reports received from Udupi say,  first year degree student of B.B. Hegde College, who felt uneasy in the college auditorium after the Independence Day function in Kundapur on Aug 15, Tuesday, later died in hospital.

According to sources in the college and police department, Amith Poojary (18) attended the Independence Day function in the college. After the function, he was in the college auditorium, when he felt uneasy.

This was noticed by the lecturers and students who rushed him to a private hospital. Though doctors tried to resuscitate him, he did not respond and died. He was suffering from congenital heart ailment. Poojary was a resident of Hattikudru village. No police case had been registered.
