Mangalore Today News Network

Udupi, Aug 25, 2014: Former India cricket player S. Sreesanth on Sunday said he was confident of coming clean from the charges of spot fixing in the sixth edition of IPL.

He had come with his family to offer prayers at the Sri Mookambika Temple at Kollur in Udupi district.

Speaking to presspersons in Kollur, Mr. Sreesanth said he would wait patiently for everything to get sorted out.

Keen to return

The hearing on the spot fixing was scheduled on September 27. If everything went fine, he intended to play once again for Team India.

He was just 31 years old and still had at least six years of cricket left in him, he said.

“Cricket is my passion. I thank all those who are supporting me,” he said.

Marriage lucky

Mr. Sreesanth said things had changed for the better for him after his marriage to Bhuvaneshwari.

His parents, his wife and his family members had been extremely supportive of him.

This was the second time he was visiting Kollur after his marriage, Mr. Sreesanth said.
