Spirit of India Run: Pat Farmer for Udupi

Udupi, Feb 4, 2016 : According to an official news release issued here,   Pat Farmer, the Australian marathon runner, will be reaching Padubidri in Udupi district at 6.30 p.m. today Feb 4, Thursday, as part of his ‘Spirit of India Run.’ Pat Farmer would stay at Padubidri overnight.  He would leave Padubidri at 5 a.m. on February 5 and reach Udupi at 7 a.m.

He would be accorded a warm welcome by the District Administration at Kinnimulki here.

About 50 students from the District Sports Hostel would run along with Farmer on the Court Road, Kavi Muddana Road and Kalsank here.  Pat Farmer would then pass through Brahmavar and reach Kundapur in the district, where he would participate in an interactive session with students of Bhandarkars College.

After the interaction, he will carry on with his run. Mr. Farmer began his ‘Spirit of India Run’ from Kanyakumari on January 26, and will cover about 4,600 km in 60 days and reach the Himalayas.
