Mangalore, July 27, 2014: . According to the complaint filed at Pandeshwar station on July 26,  social activist Hanumanth Kamath complained against builder and CREDAI district President Pushparaj Jain on a life threat and making defamatory statement against him.

Kamath stated that Jain had threatened him at a district-level meeting held to discuss sand mining policy at the DC office in the city. “In the meeting, I had raised the problem created by builders and sand miners due to which poor and middle class people find it difficult to build houses. Pushparaj Jain who turned furious, threatened consequences if I interfere in the affairs of builders.”  Further, Kamath has also complained Jain of causing defamation by alleging him of blackmailing builders and officers and corruption. The activist has said that Jain’s allegations have hurt him and therefore he has requested the police to take legal action against the builder and also sought protection in the wake of life threat. The matter is under inquiry.
