 Surathal, July 30, 2014:  News releases indicate,  police detained a man for alleged sexual attack of a boy, in Surathkal police station limits on July 28.   One  Guruprasad, native of Bantwal,   working as a water tanker driver,  had taken the minor boy to an isolated building and had allegedly sexually assaulted him after  enticing him with eatables.

Though locals tried to catch the accused, he fled. Later, the father of the child asked the accused to meet him to settle the matter amicably and trapped him.  The accused was produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody and investigations.
