Sanjay Gupta is in-charge CMD of Konkan Railway

Mangaluru ; Reports state that on completion of the tenure of Vhanu Prakash Tayal as chairman and managing director, KRCL, Sanjay Gupta, who is presently the director (operations and commercial), Konkan Railway has been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of chairman and managing director of Konkan Railway from November 24.

Sanjay Gupta is a mechanical engineer from the Council of Engineering Institution in the UK and had taken over as director (Operations and Commercial) of Konkan Railway with effect from September 30, 2013.

Gupta has worked on several prestigious assignments on the railways and brings in a rich experience of more than 29 years as an Ex-IRSME officer of Indian Railways.
