Relatives and Neighbors of Alleged Serial Killer Refuse to Believe

23 October 2009

Mohan, an ex-teacher, has allegedly killed 18 girls. However, his wives, mother, and neighbors are unable to believe it. They claim that he was a “decent” man, incapable of murder.

Nobody knows how Mohan Kumar alias Anand turned murdered; however police records clearly indicate that he was greedy for girls, money, and gold.

Mohan seems to have operated in a manner that never evoked the suspicions of his mother and his two wives. His family still does not know how and when he might have visited Mysore, Bangalore, Madikeri, and other places to meet and kill these innocent girls.

His third wife, who lives in Deralakatte, claims that he was a loving husband who never harassed her. She had never seen any cyanide in his possession. In fact, she had to borrow a lot of money from her Swasahaya account and give it to him. She also said that he never smoked and drank and had no bad habits of any kind. He had bought her a gold chain last year, but the police had taken it along with all the other ornaments she had. She said that she fell in love with Mohan and married him and that she is from a reputed family.

Mohan’s second wife, who lives in Uppala, said that she did not know he had any association with all these girls. She said that Mohan came home every alternate day and spent the rest of the time with his third wife.

The local shop-keeper said that Mohan was a decent man and that he could not believe Mohan has killed so many girls.

Mohan’s 60-year-old mother is very unhappy about the recent turn of affairs. She keeps insisting that her son is innocent and that someone has framed him.
