Puppy adoption event draws good response

Mangaluru, Feb 23, 2015: As many as 10 puppies and five kittens were adopted at “Fur”ever-adopt a pet programme, organised by the Animal Care Trust here on Sunday.

The trust has been organising such programmes once every two or three months to create awareness about the adoption of puppies of stray dogs among the people, said Suma R. Nayak, one of the trustees.

She said that 15 puppies were brought for adoption and 10 were taken in by animal lovers. All of them were female puppies, she said.

Puppies and kittens are available for adoption at the trust’s shelter located behind Sannidhya School, near Water Tank, Shaktinagar, phone 0824 6511053.
