Protest rally against police dept for failures at Sullia

Sullia, May 23, 2016: Reports say that the Nagarika Hitharakshana Vedike, Guthigar staged a massive protest rally at Sullia  against the police department for not solving the Vedavathi murder case and other cases that were reported in the area.

It was sated that Several murders, unnatural deaths and theft cases were reported in Subrahmanya police station limits in the past four years. The protestors gathered in large numbers and blocked the Sullia- Subrahmanya state highway. Several political leaders too took part in the protest.

It was only after senior police officer Rishyanth P assured action, the protest was withdrawn.
