PFI 10th foundation day marked as’Popular Front Day’, Feb 17.

Mangaluru, Feb 18, 2017: Speaking at the 10th foundation year of PFI, observed as Popular Front Day at Nehru Maidan in the city, national executive council member K M Shareef on Feb 17, Friday exhorted the cadre to contribute for building an egalitarian society. Shareef wanted the community to make concerted efforts to weed out communalism and fascism from the country.

The influence of communalism has been far-reaching even from pre-independence era. It gained pace from 1993 with attempts being made to saffronise the citadel of the society that includes legislative and judiciary, he observed.

Shareef also condemned demonetization of high-value currency notes in the name of fight against black money. It has eventually overburdened common people, he criticised.
