Mangalore, Dec 2: Oxford Week, a week-long display of Oxford titles, was inaugurated in the new showroom of Sita Book House at Bhagawati Apartment, Kalakunja Road, Kodialbail, on Dec 2, Wednesday. 

Dr. Sandeep Sanchethi inaugurated the event and said that books are the best friends of humankind. They help people enhance their knowledge and get innovative ideas. 

Shivashankar of Oxford University, Bangalore; Dr Devraj, the principal of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College; and Sudharshan Rao, the proprietor of Sita Book House were also present at the inauguration ceremony.

Sita Book House is organizing this event in collaboration with Oxford University Press (OUP). During the Oxford Week, more than 3,000 academic books for pre-university students as well as post-graduates will be displayed.
