New Nagaland Guv. Acharya to be felicitated on July 28

Mangalore, July 26, 2014: Reports state, Sri Padmanabha Acharya Nagarika Sanmana Samithi will accord a civic reception to newly appointed Governor of Nagaland Padmanabha Acharya and Kavitha Acharya, at Sanghanikethan, Pratapanagar in Mangalore, on July 28, at 5 pm, General Secretary of the Samithi Pratap Simha Nayak said. He also said that Nitte University Chancellor Vinay Hegde will preside over the function. Pratap Simha Nayak said Acharya, a native of Udupi, was born on October 8, 1931.

He completed his primary education in Udupi and secondary education in Mumbai. Right from his youth, he was associated with RSS. Being an educationist, he is the founder of Vidyanikethan, Mumbai. As a staunch RSS cadre, he was sent to North Eastern states to serve scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.

Felicitation Committee Honourary President M Padmanabha Pai, Vice President Dr Bharath Shetty were present at the press meet which made the announcement.
