Namma Padasale promises speedier issue of documents

Mangalore, Jan 26: District-in-charge Minister Krishna J Palemar inaugurated Namma Padasale, an innovative facility that promises speedier processing and issue of important documents such as RTCs, caste and income certificates, and others on Jan 26, Tuesday in the premises of the DC office. 

This facility comprises a spacious office with 4 counters, enabling people to get their documents quickly and easily. The office is well-equipped with all equipment required for smooth functioning. Each of the 4 counters deals with particular varieties of documents and a total of 23 varieties of documents will be provided to those who are in need of them. One of the counters is meant for registering and issuing tokens alone. The office also has touch screen facilities, enabling people to obtain details required to land and other documents.












“Namma Padasale eliminates the bother of having to wait in long queues for the required certificates,” said DC V Ponnuraj. He added that the system of tokens makes things easier, especially for senior citizens. They can just receive the token and relax till their numbers are called out. 

“All the documents of DK will be indexed and categorized within 30 days,” said the DC. “Already, 2.5 lakhs of the 5 lakh documents have been indexed and are easily accessible.”

After inaugurating the office, Palemar congratulated the district administration for its achievement. He said that Namma Padasale will be of great help to the citizens, who always used to complain about the inconvenience they were put to whenever they tried to obtain the required documents.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Yogish Bhat, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Prabhakar Sharma, Corporation Commissioner K N Vijaya Prakash, and others were also present during the inauguration function.
