MCC and Kankanady merchants in cleanliness drive

Mangalore, Oct 31, 2014: Officials of Mangalore City Corporation and members of Kankanady Market Traders Association carried out a cleanliness drive as apart of Swacch Bharath Abhiyan at Kankanady market.  The volunteers cleared the vegitation around the market building.

MCC environmental engineer Madhu S M, MCC health officer Dr Manjayya Shetty, MCC Commissioner Gokuldas Nayak, Ward Corporator Naveen DSouza, Kankanady Market Traders Association President Ali Hasan, Kankanady Market Traders Association Secretary Roshan Patrao and others joined the drive.

MCC Commissioner Gokuldas Nayak said “the MCC is joining hands with other organisations in keeping the city clean. The cleanliness drive will be continued till November 25.” Various organisations have joined hands with the MCC to take up the drive on November 1. Valencia, Milagres, Morgans Gate, Falnir Road, Bejai Road, KSRTC, Rosario Church, Fr Muller hospital and other areas will be cleaned too shortly.
