Local Taxi operators at MIA manhandle Ola and Mangi Cab Drivers

Mangaluru, October 1, 2015: According to latest reports, a driver of an Ola cab was manhandled  by local taxi drivers at the  MIA - Mangaluru International airport.

A couple of days ago it is said , one Mohammed Iqbal arrived at MIA from Kolkatta. He had booked an Ola Cab from MIA his place in the city. Just after 7 pm, when a Ola cab driver said to be named Shekar arrived to pick up Mohammed, local taxi drivers waylaid his car and manhandled him. The drivers also blocked Mohammed from using the Ola cab.

In another case the same day a little later, a mob of around 20-25 local taxi drivers prevented several peoplefrom hiring Mangi Cab from the MIA. They also assaulted a Mangi cab driver named Jagan. It is said a cases has been booked too.
