Mangalore, Aug 24, 2014: Five persons suffered injuries when lightning struck them following heavy rain at Sajipanadu and Kanchinadkapadavu on August 23, night. The injured are Abdul Lathif, his wife Fathima Johra, Dilsha, Ashifa and Jainab. The house of Lathif has developed cracks following lightning.

The compound wall of Chandappa Naik was damaged following artificial flood at Sajipamooda. About big number of chickens were killed when rain water entered into a poultry farm at Kalladka. About 60 bags of feed meant for poultry were also destroyed in the flood waters.
