KSRTC Buses Plying in Udupi District asked to stop by HC

Udupi, June 26, 2017: In a serious and shocking move, Karnataka state high court has issued a stay order against 55 Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses operating in Udupi district. Hearing a petition filed by Udupi District Private Bus Owners Association, the court observed that 55 KSRTC buses including 45 Jawarhal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) city buses were running illegal in Udupi district.

Private bus owners association filed a case in the  high court that JNNURM buses operated by KSRTC were plying on the long distance routes including Karkala, Kundapur ,Bhatkal and rural areas. Hearing the appeal, the court ordered buses to stop their service immediately.
