Mangaluru, May 27, 2016: KSHRC,  Karnataka State Human Rights Commission has directed officials in Dakshina Kannada district to submit reports on complaints of violation of human rights received by it from people, to the Commission at the earliest.

The Commission first seeks preliminary report on the complaints received from the officials concerned before undertaking the process of holding an inquiry, if needed, noted Madhu Sharma, secretary of the commission.

Reviewing the status of complaints received by the commission from Dakshina Kannada, KSHRC Secretary Sharma noted that in several cases, the commission is yet to receive the preliminary report from the officials. Attributing the rise in number of complaints received by the commission of late to awareness of human rights and their violation among people, she said it is imperative to address the complaints in a quick and even manner and provide early justice.
