Mangaluru, May 31, 2016: Jumbo Circus, which is now on at the Royal Gardens at Udupi,  will add five new acts to its shows and up  grade it’s value.

Addressing media, Shrihari Nair, one of the promoters of the circus, said that the five new acts are: Double sari acrobat, Bamboo on forehead, Limping board, Skating act and Spider man act.   These acts would add colour to the circus. There will be three shows daily at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at Rs. 70, Rs. 100, Rs. 150 and Rs. 200 each. The circus will be in the city till June 12.

Laughter Day : Meanwhile, the World Laughter Day was celebrated at the circus last week.  The celebrations were led by 2.5 ft tall Sanjay, who is the shortest clown artiste in the circus. Sanjay from Gaya, Bihar, is one among the rare artistes in the country to perform the flying trapeze act.

The other clown artistes in the circus, Anaji, Ezhumalai, Vishwan, Bhupinder, and the African artistes, led by Anthony Maxmillian Chimbi, joined the celebrations. There was cake cutting followed by an African dance and the legendary song, Jeena yahan marna yahan from Raj Kapoor’s film, Mera Naam Joker.
