Jeppinamogaru Ganesha Uthsava - Aug 28 & 29

Mangalore, Aug 28, 2014:  Addressing mediapersons Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshothsava samithi, President J Nagendraprasad said that the Ganeshothsava will be inaugurated by Kudla Chits Director Kiran Rai Bajal at 7 pm. Lakshmi Memorial Education Trust Chairman A J Shetty will preside over. Durgaprasad Shetty will deliver the religious speech. Cultural programmes will be held at 6 pm, the sixth year’s Ganeshothsava will be held at Jeppinamogaru school ground on August 28 and 29.

The Ganesha idol will be consecrated on August 29 morning. A stage function will be held at 9.30 am which will be presided over by Minister B Ramanatah Rai. Former minister Krishna J Palemar, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and others will participate. Cultural programmes will be held after 2 pm. A stage function will be held at 4.30 pm, which will be presided over by Shri Devi Education Institution President A Sadananda Shetty, Minister U TKhader will participate. The Mahapooja will be held at 6 pm, followed by procession and immersion of the idol.
