Mangaluru, Jan 15, 2018: The Inter School Science Festival will be organised on January 17, 2018 here at Mijar Govinda Pai Memorial Hall, Canara High School, Mannagudda, from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.

A team should consist of two students from Class 7 to Class 10. Entry is free. Any bona fide team from a school can participate by sending an e-mail tomlrcir@thehindu.co.in.

Spot registration is also permitted. Teams have to report at the venue by 8 a.m. on Jan 17, Wednesday for spot registration.

Students participating in the festival would have to demonstrate innovative, cost-effective working model projects under Make in India concept.

Some teams from several schools in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu and Mysuru districts have already registered for the inter-school competition.

The winner would receive a Change Maker award, cash prize, medals, a bicycle and a merit certificate. The first and second runners-up would get cash prizes, trophies and certificates. All the participants would receive participation certificates.

M.R. Ravi, Chief Executive Officer, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, would inaugurate the festival. Dikshith Rai, founder and Chief Executive Officer, Code Craft Technologies Pvt. Ltd., will be the guest.

Ananth Prabhu G., Advisor, Vikas Pre-University College, Mangaluru, will give away the prizes in the evening.

Vikas Pre-University College, Mangaluru, is the title sponsor. The Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL), The CAMPCO Ltd. and the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd are the associate sponsors.

Taj Cycle is the bicycle partner. V4 news channel is the telecast partner.
