Mar 27, 2018: The first book in Tulu script ’Sri Hari Stuti’, a book comprising the hymns in the praise of Lord Vishnu, will be released at Dhyana Mandira, Sharada Vidyalaya, Kodialbail on April 1 at 5.30 pm.

The book uses ’Sri Hari’ Tulu font developed for computerised typography. Students of Sharada Vidyalaya,  Nishkal Rao and Nischit Rao of class IX and class VI respectively, have developed the script, under the guidance of computer expert K P Rao and vedic scholar Dr Kadri Prabhakar Adiga.

An e-book has also been prepared by the students.

The book contains the Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram, Sri Vishnu Sahasranamavali, Sri Krishnashtottara Shatanama Stotram, Sri Krishnashtottara Shatanamavali, Sri Venkatesha Stotram, Srimad Bhagavadhita (chapter 15), Srimad Anubhashyam and Mangalasthakam - all in Tulu script.

The launch of this book is an attempt towards computerising the scholarly knowledge available in old Tulu scriptures in various temples.

Udupi Shiroor mutt seer Sri Lakshmivarateertha Swami will release the book. Prof M B Puranik, president of Sharada Education Institutions will preside over the event. The e-book will also be released on the occasion.
