Udupi, Aug 24,2014 : A person deceived his employer and the customers of ’Nidhi Gold’, which is affiliated to Manipal Housing Finance, Syndicate House Limited.The accused Ganesh, who was the public relation officer,  took gold ornaments deposited in the finanical outlet by the customers for his personal gains.

He has misused 167.25 gram gold worth Rs 4.17 lakh. He would keep the gold ornaments in the locker in Union Bank and he would bring it back, whenever the customers repaid the money borrowed on the gold. The fraud was identified following the audit in the finance company. A case has been registered in Udupi town police station.
