Couple thrashed by mob in Beltangady

Beltangady, Dec 29, 2017: In a shocking incident of moral policing, a couple was thrashed by a group of people in Bedrabettu near Beltangady.

As per sources, interfaith couple seen romancing in the forest and was allegedly found in a compromising situation.

The victim is identified as Irshad, a bus conductor by profession. It is said that Irshad is married and has a one year old child.

It is yet to be specified whether the group of men belonged to any fringe group or not or it was a local group taking law in their hands.

The police were informed about the incident on Thursday but no action has been taken against the goons yet.
