Corp Bank employee’s on two-wheeler ride, M’luru to Amarnath

Mangaluru, June 23, 2016: Media attention has been drawn that one  Ramkishore, an employee of Corporation Bank in New Delhi, will take on a marathon journey on his Mahindra Gusto Scooter from Mangaluru to Bholenath’s Holy Shrine of Amarnath, covering a distance of 6,900 kilometre.

Ramkishore, 51, hails from Delhi. Every year, since 2003, he has been going to Amarnath by scooter. He had joined Corporation Bank as a sub-staff in 1980 and was promoted as a clerk in 1995.

He aims to popularise Amarnath Yatra and moving places en route to signify the unity and cohesiveness of the countrymen. To spread the name of Corporation Bank alongside the journey is another mission. A father of 6 (5 girls and 1 boy), he also wants to spread the messages of the prime minister Modi’s - Beti Bachaavo, Beti Padaavo’ and Swachch Bharat.

Tentative Schedule : The 15 days’ West India ride on a two-wheeler will be flagged off from corporate office of Corporation Bank at 10 am on June 23, today,  Thursday.

He will travel from Mangaluru to Bengaluru and move towards Hubballi, Pune, Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Pathankot, Jammu, Srinagar and Baltal. The journey from Baltal to Amarnath is 16-km by walk.
