Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, Mar 31, 2014 :  The simmering differences between  two groups of Congress workers in Ullal took an ugly turn on March 31, Monday when the two  groups  entered into a clash and flung chairs at each other.

The incident reported from the home constituency of Health Minister UT Khader has made it evident that the minister had made  no effort in bringing together the warring factions. The furniture  and other things in the office been damaged in the clashes.

As per information available, the clash broke out  between the supporters of Ullal Block Congress President Eshwar Ullal and Ullal Councillor Usman Kallaup. It has been alleged that the Block Congress President  had tended to ignore an  appeal made by Councillor Usman  to rectify the error in his voter’s card wherein a photograph of another person was affixed.

An eyewitness said, angered over the Block Congress Chief’s apathy, the group led by Councillor barged into the office and  picked up a quarrel, eventually resulting in the clash.
