City to host ‘Shakti Sangama’ January 26.

Jan 25, 2018: Buntara Yane Nadavara Matru Sangha, Mahila Vibhaga, has organised ‘Shakti Sangama’, a meet of inter-district bunt women and cultural entertainment programme at Bunts Hostel premises on January 26.

Sangha Mahila Vibhaga president Dr Ashajyoti Rai said Sangha president Maladi Ajit Kumar Rai will inaugurate the programme at 9 am. World Bunts’ Association president Aikala Harish Shetty and Chandrika Harisha Shetty will hoist the flag. Its women’s wing former president Lata Jayaram Shetty will inaugurate various exhibition stalls.

Dr Ashajyoti Rai will preside over the inaugural session. Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Vatika Pai, MRPL Senior Manager (CSR) Veena T Shetty and others will be guests.

Programmes  :  Rural games and a variety of entertainment programmes will be held as part of ‘Indra Dhanush’. There will also be an exhibition of handicraft, agricultural products, dress and ornaments in the food court.

A march past contest will be held in the morning. Treasure hunt, tug-of-war, flower stringing competition, mehendi and hair-styling competitions will be held in the evening.
