Sullia, Sep 03, 2014: The women and child welfare department officials have thwarted the marriage of a minor, in two separate incidents, at Sullia taluk.  An attempt was made to conduct marriage of 16-yearold daugter of Safiya and Adam at Nettaru. However, CDPO convinced the parents not to conduct the marriage till she attains the age of 18. In another case, the department had received a complaint on marriage of daughter of Narayana Naika and Chomu coouple, at Kemraje. The officials prevented that marriage too.
